I was drunk when I left there, but I’m sober now.

Cos the buses have all finished and trains are all shut down.
I could consider walking but I live in the next town.
And now it’s started raining, all hopes have gone adrift…

As the night was getting later, it became more clear…
…that everyone has made plans but I’ll have one more beer.
